Timing

Photographing expecting women can have its limitations, especially with ease of mobility. This is why I prefer maternity portrait sessions  take place around 32 weeks gestation. Your belly is typically rounded out by then but you are not at the point of getting exhausted just walking across the room (yet). Maternity sessions may be scheduled earlier or later if that is your preference.

I recommend sheduling your sessions as soon as possible to ensure availability, as my maternity schedule tends to be booked up the fastest.

Preparation

As with other portrait sessions, your session will be truly custom and designed around your ideas and visions that you detail in your pre-session consultation, which is typically done over the phone or virtually via Zoom. We will discuss items of importance such as how to treat and care for your skin in the days leading up to your session as well as what items to bring with you. 

Client Wardrobe

Dani Marie Photography has a vast maternity wardrobe that range from flowy to form-getting gowns, fabrics, and accessories. Booked clients are invited to choose 3-5 outfits for her session. Once you've officially booked your session, you'll receive more information along with a portrait questionnaire that will discuss this topic in more detail.

Hair & Makeup

Professional Hair & Makeup Artistry is available as an add-on. Your stylist will greet you upon your arrival and their fees will be due upon services rendered.

Reveal Session

Upon the completion of post-processing your images, you will be invited back for a personalized reveal session which will include the best 25 printed portraits from your portrait session. You'll be treated with desert and beverage.
